Hi everyone,

I am getting a new maple 3/4 cue next week.
I have no idea what tip should I use on it.
Anyone have any idea for me to start with?

Thank you~

There are tons of tips. Really i do not think anyone can tell you which to use and which not to use. Its all down to trial and error and what suites you not what everyone thinks is the best. :D :D good luck

bloody fence sitters... :D

i'll tell you straight karkit1028 - stick with cheap elkmasters if you're just a part time player. they're plenty good enough and often can be as good as any tip.

if you play a lot and can't afford time searching around for a 'good' elkmaster or blue diamond etc, you'll need to pay a bit more.

i've heard these are good...;):

must be a good product eh? when demand outstrips supply....

victim of my own success mate... :D

remember:

patience is a virtue

good things come to those who wait

and any other saying when i'm struggling to deliver immediately ;)

remember also bad things happen to suppliers who make me wait! - rumours of auldesque levels of quality and customer service start to circulate. :D

i'd stick to elks. find a good elk and they're better than any other. there's no need to spend big money on a tip. its easy enough to spot a good tip in a box, just flick the edge of each with your nail or drop onto a hard surface and listen for it's firmness.

lmao - better than any other is a big claim.

well to pay over £2 for a tip is OTT. i've tried over half a dozen of these 'super' tips and have never had a successful one.

if ronnie says they're better than any other then isn't that a big enough claim?

well i have tried all of them and its a case of what works for you is whats best for you - ronnie uses a talisman.

yes i know he uses talisman, maybe for consistancy. but i've stood infront of him and heard with my own ears that when he gets a good elk there is nothing better.
